VeilKnit Rooms
Persistent community rooms over the VeilKnit Daemon: familiar room-chat ideas, but with Veilid underneath instead of a single chat provider at the center.

Rooms is currently waiting on a compatibility patch. The present build may or may not work as-is with the current Daemon.
Try Rooms
The public repository contains Android, Windows and Linux project folders. There is not currently a published GitHub binary release, so the repository remains the place to get the current code and build instructions.
Repository targets: Android, Windows and Linux.
No public binary release is posted on GitHub yet. What Rooms is built around
Daemon-backed networking
Rooms requests its application identity and networking capabilities from the VeilKnit Daemon rather than embedding the whole network layer itself.
Room roles
Rooms are structured around creators, admins and users, with moderation state designed to live in decentralized records rather than one central server database.
Account-aware local state
Current builds follow the Daemon's account-aware profile model so room credentials and saved state can follow the active Daemon account.
Multiple desktop/mobile targets
The public codebase contains Android, Windows and Linux paths so the same room model can be used across different devices.
Quick start
Start the VeilKnit Daemon
Rooms needs the Daemon running and attached before it can use the network.
Launch Rooms and authorize it
Approve the Rooms application request in the Daemon so it can use the required local capabilities.
Create or join a room
Create a new room or use a room address/link to connect to an existing community.
Chat and moderate
Use the room interface for conversation and, when you have the appropriate role, moderation controls.
